An incomparable country music entertainer and noted yodeller, Horsburgh is loved by fans all over Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Winner of two ACE (Australian Club Entertainment) Awards and five Australian Entertainment ‘MO’ Awards (for excellence in ‘live entertainment’), for Male Country Performer Of The Year, Horsburgh has made his mark, preserving and encouraging traditional country music with recordings such as Lovers Carousel, China Doll and Cattle Call, while including a touch of Hawaiian, Gospel, Western and Pop songs in his shows.
From just the age of 11 he was already singing in dance bands and also performing on television shows in Victoria. Horsburgh soon proved himself to be the "People's Entertainer", not only in his home state, but then in 1979 moving north to the world-class Sydney entertainment clubs. His popularity soon soured across the great Land of Oz, then New Zealand and finally the United Kingdom and America.
A prolific artist, Horsburgh maintains a heavy schedule wherever he goes. Between shows, this People's Entertainer somehow finds time to record and his latest albums, ‘Songs Of Praise’, ‘Born Free’, ‘A Salute To Slim Whitman’ and ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ are now available. He has recorded a total of 23 albums throughout his career.
Having been based for many years in America's Entertainment Capital, Branson, Missouri — and managing a full tour schedule through Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky and other states during America's summer months — Wayne Horsburgh still calls Australia home.
